Real Wedding: Sefton Park Liverpool Indo-Western Wedding

For the Hindu ceremony the bride and groom opted for a classic style white rounded mandap, dressed with a contemporary touch of stunning arrays of flourishing floral décor, including cheery yellow sunflowers, coloured coordinated draped nets and hanging florals, creating a wonderful contrast against the foliaged background; striking the perfect colour balance! Across the Palm House too was a line of charming white hanging lanterns. The couple took a nod to traditional South Asian attire, with the bride wearing a traditional vibrant orange silk sari in the south region sari draping style, whilst the groom wore a classic gold and red sherwani.

For the civil the mandap became the backdrop, where an added floral encompassed ‘LOVE’ sign was the featured centrepiece, which completed this magnificent background. The bride and groom then changed into their western attire of a sharp suit and traditional white bridal dress.

The wedding reception’s ambience turned into a grand affair with the blue night sky gleaming through the Palm House’s glass, combined with the rich red and purple opulent coloured lighting. In keeping with the theme, the chairs and tables were a classic white, letting the backdrop set the décor scene. As undertaken in this real wedding, table décor is best kept to a minimal in such a naturally beauty of a setting as it could look overwhelmingly busy and clash together. This real wedding certainly was the definition of encapsulating nature’s beauty and keeping décor understated yet complimentary to this remarkable Sefton Park setting; this combination truly resulted in a dazzling Indo-Western wedding!
