Real Wedding: Grosvenor House London Asian Wedding
The esteemed Grosvenor House’s Great Hall is one of Europe’s largest banqueting spaces in the heart of London’s Mayfair.
The five-star Great Hall first launched as an art deco skating rink, and today exudes a magnificent staircase and golden fairy tale chandeliers, which played muse to this real Asian wedding reception.
A silver and white colour scheme led the theme for this grandeur Asian wedding, which flawlessly streamlined through the Great Hall from the wedding stage all the way down to the wedding cake! The lighting set the perfect ambience with its subtle dimness, spot lighting and natural glow emitted from the tea lights dotted across the tables and floor ground.
The wedding stage featured a magnificent floral arch surrounded with white and soft blue roses, whilst positioned on the stage was a luscious cream velvet set of throne chairs. The white floral theme followed throughout the decor, with alternating centre-pieced dining tables with a mixture of white florals including gypsophila, calla lilies, roses, hydrangea within various glass vases mounted on a transparent cube, oozing a chic and sheer aesthetic. Other table centrepieces featured elegant clear glass candelabra hanging with baubles encapsulating tea lights. To compliment the stately centrepieces they sat on a luxurious silver patterned jacquard dining table linen.
The two elongated head tables stood out prominently with overhead décor with luscious orchids, hanging baubles, soft white draping and a statement white blooms centre piece. The bride and groom’s dining table flourished with blue and white florals around the edges, sophisticatedly complimented with subtle lighting from tea lights balancing on water filled cylinder glasses.
The staircases did not miss any décor details and kept in theme with white florals around the bannisters surrounded by white petals on the ground and silver tea light holder lamps of various sizes.
The majestic six tiered silver and white wedding cake took its place on the wedding stage, which was adorned with large delicate white sugar flowers, also featuring as the cake topper. All in all this real Asian wedding was the epitome of a classic white wedding… graceful and timeless.
